Aussie Clay 590

Aussie Clay 590

Aussie Clay 590 is a heavy-duty, high-strength bentonite composite sheet waterproofing membrane. It consists of needle-punched woven and non-woven geotextile fabrics encapsulating a thick layer of active sodium bentonite. Upon hydration, the sodium bentonite swells to form a low-permeability, self-sealing barrier, effectively preventing water ingress. This membrane is designed for below-grade applications and can be applied to various substrates.

Where to Use

  • Retaining walls
  • Basements
  • Under-slabs
  • Mud-slabs
  • Permanent formwork (e.g., lagging)
  • Existing back-filled structural walls
  • Smoothly prepared concrete substrates
  • Compacted earth or crushed stone substrates

Key Features

  • Self-Sealing Technology — Swells upon contact with water to form a watertight barrier, effectively sealing small cracks and voids.
  • High Strength Composition — Combines woven and non-woven geotextiles with sodium bentonite for enhanced durability and performance.
  • Versatile Application — Suitable for both vertical and horizontal installations on various substrates.
  • Dual Membrane Compatibility — Can be used in conjunction with AVM's Aussie Skin membrane for enhanced waterproofing protection.
