About This Course

This presentation examines the real-world challenges encountered in waterproofing systems for both below-grade and above-grade applications. It focuses on common failure points, including substrate conditions, detailing complexities, construction sequencing, and coordination between trades.

Participants will explore various waterproofing applications such as pre-applied (blindside), post-applied, and negative-side remedial systems. The course highlights how improper substrate preparation, poor detailing, and lack of coordination can lead to leaks and long-term performance issues.

Through practical examples and field-based scenarios, this course provides solutions to mitigate risks, improve installation quality, and enhance overall system performance. Emphasis is placed on identifying high-risk conditions and implementing effective quality assurance practices to ensure durable, watertight building envelopes.
